Appointment's Post II

This post is for threading with Shikamaru anytime and anywhere. It can be used for action tags or the ping feature on journals (voice or written) to get in contact with him for personal conversations. This will be used primarily for anything that you don't feel like would take place in a regular log or post.

I'm not going this time, but I'd like to send assistance. Will you take Rhydon along with you?

He's assuming right off the bat that Rhydon is a Pokemon, but he blinks at the journal, wondering where this offer came from.]

Why me? Gold or Silver would be able to make better use of him.

They have their own Pokémon to use, and mine are well trained enough that they don't need my guidance. I trust you to be tactical with him.

I'd need to work with him first. Linda's the only Pokemon I've come close to doing anything like that with.

[But she's Masaomi's Pokemon, so.]

That's Masaomi's Pokémon, and she requires a lot of supervision. Rhydon will actually be able to help Linda, since he's been my primary teaching tool for her.

...it's probably not a bad idea, then. Masaomi's going too.

[He's confident in his ability to look after his friends, but he's never gotten that way by relying on himself alone. The more support, the better.]

Take all the support and tools you can, after all. He can fight autonomously, but he can cause localized earthquakes or burrow, stomp, and attack with his horn. If you give him orders, he'll follow them.

[Shikamaru can already think of several ways to use those abilities, but they'll do better once he knows exactly how they work.]

I'll need the next two days to get used to him. Show me how you work with him and I can take it from there.
